This product is 100% worth the purchase despite the cost because I purchased 2. Before buying this I tried the stock mesh socks and it barely worked or stayed in place. Then I tried many DIY filter builds but eventually wear and tear caught up until I came across this media basket. I love it, it stays in place, easy to use and clean, very sturdy, plus it has many racks to place media and filter pads. I was ready to get rid of this tank but thanks to Kreative reefer this 45 Gal tank is being filtered effectively now as an AIO tank. No regrets!

It works super well and changing the floss out is super easy! I don’t have to fight with a filter sock and deal with it getting clogged. The floss does get clogged but changing that out is a lot cheaper and easier than filter socks. Saving a lot of money in the long run just buying sheets of floss and cutting it to fit instead of spending the amount the sheet costs on one filter sock.
